Earlier, the China Seismological Network reported that a magnitude 2.2 earthquake occurred in Guannan County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province at 1448:44 (suspected explosion) (34.33 degrees north latitude, 119.73 degrees east longitude) with a focal depth of 0 km.

 

The local residents responded that there was no earthquake and there was a suspected explosion in the chemical plant of the Chenjiagang Chemical Park in Xiangshui.

 

Yangtze Evening News reporters rushed to the scene for the first time to verify that there was an explosion at Chenjiagang Tianjiayi Chemical Plant (an enterprise producing pesticide raw materials) in Xiangshui, Yancheng City.
